SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT FACILITATOR/SMART CLASS FACILITATORS
One of the challenges of on-line learning is to ensure that students receive the highest level of support and that the quality of instruction is on par with face-to-face modalities. ECVSS is in professional partnership with smart teachers, who are all certified to teach, holding credentials from accredited universities in teacher education. Teacher certification and smart teacher annual renewal is in keeping with ECVSS’s standard of teaching and service excellence.
Course facilitators at ECVSS:
- Ensure that students have structured access to and interaction with smart teachers by means of on-line office hours and video conferencing.
- Are fully trained in distance education delivery modalities and curriculum development.
- Utilize instructional methods and delivery systems that provide students with the opportunity to achieve the stated objectives of courses and programmes.
- Inform students of the goals and requirements of each course, the nature of the course content, and the methods of evaluation to be employed.
- Use a variety of means to evaluate student performance including practical and written examinations, projects, research studies and papers, cooperative group assignments and presentations.
Smart Teachers partnership selection:
- Appropriate academic preparation and are proficient in oral and written communication in the language in which assigned courses are to be taught.
- Research activities relevant to their specialized teaching area are required.
- ECVSS employs individuals who are directly responsible for the design, delivery and course management.
- Proven record of teaching success
